What is the fountain of youth?

In this modern day, we are confronted with important health questions that don’t have obvious answers…

  • How do we help our bodies resist the various elements that diminish our health?
  • What’s likelier to do more damage: a newly evolved antibiotic-resistant super-bug, the intrusion of harmful chemicals into our food system, or being fearful of either?
  • What preventative actions can we take to strengthen our body’s vitality and our mental resilience?

“Ojas” is a mysterious and powerful concept taught in the ancient texts of Ayurveda. It refers to the physical and energetic reservoir in the body from which our immunity is sourced. It is said to pool in the heart, while traces of it can be found in tissues throughout the body.

Ojas is a physical substance, as well as a subtle energy. The quality and quantity of this mysterious resource provides us with a buffer from the depleting impact of life’s physical and emotional challenges.

When ojas is high and of good quality, we remain healthy despite illness in those around us. We feel sustained energy, and we maintain good cheer. When ojas is compromised, we pick up every cough and cold that comes our way. We feel depleted and worn down, even after a full night’s sleep. Somehow we can never refill our tank.

Let’s uncover the rich sources of ojas in our daily lives

On this retreat, we will explore how to support our native immunity, including foods, physical activities, herbs, mental practices – all while immersed in the natural beauty of this mystical land (there’s a hint already!).

Our mornings will be devoted to educational and experiential teachings on health and Ayurveda, with ample free time to experience the gifts of this remarkable town and it’s surrounding beauty.

With several optional group activities, you can design your explorations according to your personal passions and interests. You will return home refreshed, inspired and with new clarity about your path to abundant health.

Our Retreat Accommodations

We will be staying at the Santa Fe Sage Inn, located less than a mile from the historic downtown Santa Fe Plaza, and only 3 blocks from the exciting Railyard shopping and dining district. You have the choice of single accomodation in a King room, or double accommodation in either a King room or a room with 2 Queen beds. Each room is decorated with beautiful locally handcrafted wooden furniture, local macrame art, and Spanish tin accents.

A delicious on-site breakfast includes hot entrees, oatmeal, muffins, and juices. There is also an in-house restaurant and bar, The Social Kitchen, serving lunch and dinner. Whole Foods Market is one block away.
